We are facing an unprecedented challenge in our community with the Covid-19/Corona Virus. The Government has set out clear advice about how we should approach this period in our lives. We are now all advised to keep our distance from other people.
Comprehensive guidance can be found by clicking here. You can also sign up to emails with regular updates from the Government to help keep you informed and up to date with accurate information and advice – click here.

This also gives a very clear picture of the difference social distancing can make.
Dr Joey McHugh from Axbridge and Wedmore Medical Practice said ‘What we REALLY need people to do is follow the social distancing and the social isolation advice’. You can find more information about this and all other aspects of this situation on their website.
So this will bring challenges for all of us, but Wedmore parishioners have risen to this challenge! A group of volunteers are getting together to offer help and support for those who may have particular difficulties during this period. This response is being lead by the Parish Council and Reverend Richard Neill. If you haven’t already had a leaflet through your door, then it is on the way! But here is the information. So if you need any help during this period, please get in touch, using one of the two telephone numbers.
