A UK wide movement, which brings together people in their ‘third age’, ie after working full time and/or raising a family

When & where: Initially, Monday mornings from 10.30 to 12.00am in Cheddar Library, for coffee and a chat. Then there are 50+ interest groups as well as monthly coffee mornings and speaker meetings

Cost: Annual fee of £12.00 or £22.00 per couple. Separate fees for meetings.
Who can attend: People who are retired or semi-retired, who want to continue learning and personal development for its own reward.
Support with attending : U3A does not offer transport. However, its 500+ members are widespread and often share transport when suitable.

A social club for retired business men.  No political affiliation.

When & where: Meetings 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at Wedmore Golf Club at 10.15am

An opportunity to share friendship and music in a relaxed and supportive group

When & where: Masonic Hall, usually every fortnight on a Monday, from 2.15 to 3.30pm

Who can attend: Open to carers and people with memory difficulties. Local musicians are very welcome to join us occasionally and provide a short performance as part of the session.
